"Scripts had been developed that took place half in World War Two, half in the modern day and none of those scripts were particularly successful because the costume ended up overshadowing the man," says Marvel chief Kevin Feige. "So we finally said, 'If we could make a Captain America movie any way we wanted to make it, how would we make it?' Well, we'd set the entire movie in the past, in that period, with all of the Marvel trimmings. And so we made the fun, kick-ass Captain America movie we wanted to."
"I've always loved Raiders and the tone that it had," says director Joe Johnston. "It was period but didn't feel like it was made in the period. It felt like a modern-day film about the period, which is what we're doing on Captain America. It will not feel like a war movie. It's funny where it needs to be and emotional where it needs to be and serious and full of action."
And he's not just an American hero, argues Evans. "I think he's the ideal human," says Evans. "Not just American. It's what being a good person is. Steve's managed to overcome all the shortcomings he's had in life and he does what's good and what he believes is right."

Henry Cavill to Play SUPERMAN in new 2012 WarnerBros. Film

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures announced today that Henry Cavill has won the coveted role of Superman, the iconic superhero.
The film will be directed by Zack Snyder, who stated, “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”
Charles Roven, Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Deborah Snyder are the producers of the film. The screenplay is being written by David S. Goyer based on a story by Goyer and Nolan. Thomas Tull and Lloyd Phillips are serving as executive producers.
Cavill recently wrapped production on “The Cold Light of Day” and stars in the upcoming “Immortals,” opening this fall.
Targeted for release in December 2012, the new Superman movie will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.

Hsien-Ko and Sentinel trailers for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 !!!!
Hsien-Ko was MY GIRL in Darkstalkers. An advanced unpredictable playing style which I loved. We'll see how good she translates to the VS world in acouple weeks. :)
Sentinel ..... sigh .... I'm not looking forward to him. I HATED his assist pressure tactics on Marvel vs Capcom 2. I for see Storm/Sentinel/Dr.Doom madness all over again. Hopefully they regulated him a little bit this go round. 101

WIZARD Magazine Officially Shuts Down R.I.P.
Well this sucks. I bought Wizard Magazine religiously as a child/teen for my comic book industry news fix, and also to get the latest sell values on my awesome comic book collection. But when the big ol' internet came, I must say it changed EVERYTHING. I learned a lot from the publication.
The good news is that the company that produced the magazine, Wizard World, has gone public and will now be the producers of a ComicCon Tour. So ComicCon maybe hitting a city near you, (unless you live in North Carolina *sneakdiss*) ... Wizard Magazine will also premiere in digital form in February 2011. .... 101
